Not sure, but I think Bill Clinton has been the only president to formally apologize in a media conference about the history of experimentation on humans in this country. I feel two ways, first of all, it was only up to a 2 minute apology and history lesson, and it was scripted (precusor to Monica), but it is proof or admittance to wrongdoing that Bush never did when it came to torture, or Obama ever did when it came to Benghazi. If the media was anything today like they were then, it wouldn't have been met with silence.
