A brief essay on higher education

As an incoming freshman, being 18 years and fresh out of the lifelong Catholic church, my group of peers in the mandatory rhetoric class chose me to go head to head in a debate on pornography. I considered it degrading, and he considered it good money. I excelled in thinking and showing that women are better than sex slaves. At the time, I had a debate also with a high school friend who came to visit, and the debate was, what's the bigger Liberal Arts college, The University of Iowa, or Grinnell college, where he was going.  Liberal, that word, liberal, and yet even later after having kids, there were some books in classes that I was opposed to. I went to bat totally for business, and the American Dream, when others said, Why shouldn't I go live on an island.  I voted Democrat, but thought like a Republican. In my personal opinion, college let me explore any and every conviction I may have, possibly loosened my morals, but I never felt cheated. Jeff Sessions, Trump,

Rumors, a brief poem

Rumors They tightened up words that were leaking through the square and it made the quietest sound all the way back to my place lifted in case of flood the stars were on my counter top and the moon was in the sink but not a single thing did I hear of what the occupation spread and rose in a strong current all the talk became old news or a more shocking aftermath to make them fear touch on it again the days began to sit still and settle in soon after so that living here was part of mine too.

You highlighted that Wells Fargo is now paying it's workers 15 dollars per hour, they have been in hot water for years for over charging clients, is this something to make their reputation look better, and how many people are you sharing this with? Are you siding with big banks, big investment on small return? The economy is improving on a steady rate, comparable to Obama's term, and hasn't increased anything from Trump tax cuts. If you want to say unemployment is down, think of all those who've been fired or quit their jobs and can't get benefits. There's millions out of work. Be clear on who you're speaking of.

More awful jokes by Sheri

Woman goes up to the grocery store, says to the stock boy, Where's the food for thought? Young man takes a trip down south, calls his mom and says, Mom, I got into some hot water. Teenage girl makes friends with an elderly woman who likes to tell her stories until the young girl says, Really, this is old news. Young boy likes to skateboard instead of sitting through meetings, and he says, I know how to ramp it up. Sunny day, woman on the hill is dressed in blue, and the pilot says, I can see through you. Woman and dog walk a long ways in the park and she says to him, I'm pooped too.

a brief poem I just wrote

My Latest Trick The magic inside of me is moonlight tiptop of the sky like a sudden thought how would one remove a planted past without first loosing any dirt on you create a way to link that moon to the last angel they knew and watched rise out of any dark parlor and summoned against fight or flight the magic inside of me is a black bird with a star inside of it magnetic north and rising like my last trick of clearing the years from fog and flame the black bird changes into a hat and I've been a-pulling so much writing out of it when the years are fixed like that star.

Remember when Kidd Kraddick commented here piped in locally about Jessica Simpson, what, she's got a fax machine in there, and I took it personally. I was hottie, then he wanted me, then I wasn't, then he hated me. He always showed his true colors. Dead now, absolutely dead, but wanted to marry some pretty little thing. I heard him say that on the way the CF walk where I had raised over 15 hundred dollars plus auction items, it was devastating.

a little bit more on the principal..

Sheri Grutz   I read every sign that the principal of my kids school had access, called her up and asked her What can you tell me about this, and she said, I don't know anything about it. I should have asked her, Are you aware of my surveillance. I asked the question wrong. Shortly after my phone, she mysteriously left town. Manage Like  ·  Reply  ·  4m Sheri Grutz   We were in the apartments at the time, outside playing, and her daughter showed up and sat down with me and said, I'll watch your kids for free. I did not know at the time that my brother was abusing my daughter while my mom watched my kids while I worked. I'm convinced that this principal had access.

To Live in Words, a brief essay by Sheri

Often times through studying poets I've wondered is it best to live in words or live in life.  The poets are the ones who make a language all their own through use and reuse of words, elevated to a point of making something concrete out of the abstract.  But how much of the time spent inside of writing could be turned into experiences that bring the same amount of joy in the process? On the other hand, there are many things that can get in the way of good writing, and many poets in their top game must write their way into certain broad discoveries.  In writing my book, This Sky I Know, there were only a few poems in it in which:  I got there.  And those, I do believe are the ones I will be known for.  Life doesn't offer you that feeling many times, but when it does, you can make an internal copy for future works.

this isn't one of my best, but I'm trying to do some writing every day: Rain Date, a brief poem by Sheri

Rain Date I would have questioned the man who fills promises full of quarters for use of machines long since gone and then playing with one's mind its eye is constantly twitching but sees where the divide cuts through the rhetoric and stops short of being right or wrong I would have questioned the man again and again who runs power plays over a barrier we only had to go around or could anyone really walk away from the man who cashes in all those quarters like dreams.

Rain, a poem by Sheri

Rain When the rains release their burden of holding back we get to a surface where we wash away our cares and start over fresh against heat and hollar of summer. But after 3 days of rain, the sky is thick as wet cement that mirrors the sidewalks we used to straighten out down to our last leg and feeling something missing out of love of perfect days. Looks like rain and the chance of seeing the day outweigh the contender waiting bright inside of tomorrow.

Love Poem, by Sheri

Love Poem The times we spent spinning the night like a record I almost heard the beat of the moon and the clanging of stars and the singing of insects in line with certain truths you can't refute anymore or sneak up like a man in a trenchcoat the times we spent saying there really is no silence or no way to unhear the world I went on for hours talking about love as a hardly seen black cat who won't strike out the bug we got in the heat of a summer night.

there will be a revision to this poem when I'm feeling like it: The Disorder

The Disorder There was a disorder that stretched for miles in the night sky that wouldn't dissolve the moon and I was there reaching what would have been lows upside down and crazed into believing any God but God said Everybody can have it and the disorder was applied like eye liner heightening the color of every vision seeing stars and measuring the the distant between even two lovers.

sad advertisement for psychiatry when I suggested bipolar doesn't need to be on sz.com site: or what is your point of being on a schizophrenic site Whereas most people here have a sz or sz-a diagnosis this site is for anyone who has or is experiencing psychosis. That would include diagnoses such as bipolar, schizotypal, psychotic depression, paranoid personality disorder, delusional disorder, borderline personality disorder, ASD with psychosis. This is best described as a “psychosis spectrum” forum.

when Hurricane Katrina happened, it took Bush days, nearly a week before he responded, the religious right showed their true colors, nothing but despondent, and insulated against poverty and squalor. The Christians, some I knew, said God's Wrath. These people tried fleeing their own sudden deaths by crossing bridges into other states, only to be turned back, they didn't want the riff raff in their state. Get your God out of my country before it's too late, and you start creating suffering out what is probably the worst case scenario of afflictions on humans who must try to once again bow.

I'm so tired of being the loser in the game of life, and this stuff with Phil really brings me down, wasn't sure I'd get out of bed today. I don't know how we get fighting, I'm not trying to start a fight, but I say or do something, he starts railing on me, all angry and shit. Then he grabbed me by the back of the head and pushed me away, says he didn't do that, but he did. And we both can't quit drinking beer, I can go about a week, then have some kind of setback. Why are all of these lucky people having good jobs, good health, and good times in their lives? I blog so much, and I constantly write, but I can't make a dime at it. It's the only thing I'm good at, then I'm stuck doing all these crap jobs. oh poor me. sad.

it took me awhile, but here it is: Blushing, a brief poem by Sheri

Blushing by s.m.g. You put me on the hot spot til my face turned red, shamed into being wrong with all the lights on still stumbling over how to react so my face did it, maybe it's a natural burning from your turning the table but there is no anger to it, or swallowing of a planet, or bleeding of a vegetable, when you made me feel that way or taken by surprise it was when I finally knew what place I was in and what heat was matched there through my cheeks.

There's got to be a warrant to put someone under surveillance, so every agency is acting as judge and jury, completely going against established rule of law. We need to be told what the hell we did wrong to be on a Suspect List. Our own individual rights count on this, but the group warfare against us means we have to take the back seat on what they define as a terrorist. People today cannot honestly say that they trust the government. We've made progress, keep it up!

be careful with this awful jokes

woman goes to the salon to get her hair cut, says, take the inches from as much as I've taken from a short, short man. man checks his bank statement, says, I'm more broke than my ex'es heart. boy likes video games, says to the girl next door, I'm a player. young girl likes skinny jeans, says, I just want to fit in this world. Life on the farm is good, the farmer says, I smell ripe. Girl on the swing gets higher and higher, says, the sky is no limit. Young man takes a job, and says, can you pay for my sins?

When being told best president since JFK: like facing an investigation against his whole admin, his kids he brought in to the office, and then appointing torture into the CIA, and trying to side with ethics violations in every other agency, like reversing every law that Obama made clear merely for greater ways of skiffing transparency, it was the final straw with Repubs when they deregulated public schools, and still doing it with the EPA and banks, and determined to eliminate health care for those who need it. Trade wars on other countries, and a man so bolden that he would insist while we are so in the red that they pay up for defense. Worthless, reckless, terrible admin and president, nothing good to say about him.

This fall when you cast your vote, and you will be casting your vote, won't you, please consider the fact that the person you are voting for will not win without big money. Money tied to politics is the far reaching into anything we tune into. Ok, so Facebook is not doing politics anymore, but you'll get it through email, radio, television and even bumper stickers. You'll get from yard signs, and leaflets in the mail. The far right will only stay in power while they got all the money, their campaigns are skilled in finding the highest donors. Dems are typically working class poor who will think that no one is working for us. We used to think that we won elections by getting out the absentee vote, so that's all we did, but no, we were beat because of money.

Haha!

Take Action   |    Contribute   Share     f    Share this on Facebook   Sheri, It's a ferocious fight. Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Left are all hyperventilating over President Trump's Supreme Court nominee - Judge Brett Kavanaugh. The smear campaign has begun. It's meant to denigrate the Constitution, delay the confirmation, and defeat a qualified conservative.

How many people really believe that Joni Ernst was talking all these Iowans who are on Obamacare who want to get rid of it? She was talking to total wealth who thinks they are paying for the poor.

Dear Ms. Grutz, Thank you for taking the time to contact me about health care reform. It is important for me to hear from folks in Iowa on policy matters such as this. Since joining the U.S. Senate, I have had the opportunity to complete three 99 County Tours, and am currently on my fourth. Throughout my travels, I have participated in roundtables with our local small businesses, toured manufacturing and agricultural operations, visited hospitals, schools, and more. In these meetings, I have heard countless stories from our neighbors from all parts of the state about how they are personally struggling under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), with their premiums and other out-of-pocket costs increasing year-to-year and their choice of health insurance options dwindling. Since last fall, more and more Iowans have shared with me the hardships they are enduring due to the cost of their health insurance, and the difficult decisions they have to face - all because there is only one insurer

News on Beth: she's on a maintenance antibiotic every day, they tried her on Mucinex script strength, and she couldn't stop crying and felt especially suicidal so she stopped taking it. She's doing saline thru the neb with the vest. Any virus or infection could kill her. No psudemonas in years. She's using her insurance through her job, and not her husband's. She gets frequent sinus infections, and still has polyps. She's able to work a full time job that she loves.

My brief story for Amy's petition to Congress

When the internet came out, I became quite certain that all of Mass Media was watching me, and that I was under surveillance, since they would comment to me while they were On Air, showing either favoritism or dis over the way I was living my life, for example, Kids don't watch the news, Sheri, having so many critics living with me 24 hours a day was not something I wanted, also that both of my kids have disabilities, and we were struggling through poverty. I was followed on campus by love interests in the radio industry.  They laughed and thought it was funny that he came in my path wearing a Tshirt with a big picture of Janet Jackson, the very same artist I called in to request. Not until several years later did I find the website Satellite Surveillance and Human Experimentation, then I knew that they were likely seeing through my eyes, hearing my thoughts, watching my dreams, trying to test and study and use mind control tactics on me. Before this t

Pretty awful jokes by Sheri

Woman takes an umbrella to the ball game, waits in a long line, says, I knew there'd be a delay. Man goes hiking on long trails with his woman, says, I'm still winding up with you. Boy likes peanut butter cups, says, I got my taste from the rapper. Young girl likes to ride her bike, fails every test, says, One day I'll get it in gear. Young man goes to college, says, It makes sense, since I have been studied.

I don't question the electrical part of V2K, it's just the belief that a series of voices can travel through the air and hit one single person. When you hang out with schizophrenics, you find that their voices are also consistent with a mind control victim. The thought that people are sitting somewhere thousands of miles away and talking into your head directly all day and all night is pretty far fetched, even for a long time survivor myself.

The best.
