you think you're in the clear with no snow, but I almost two deer this morning, didn't even see them, they were on the left panel of my car door/windshield, but Phil saw them and I slammed on the breaks, thank God nobody behind me. Our hearts were pounding all the way to work. I didn't hit them, and they were moving.
