As much as post partum depression went, the day after I woke up and Steve Kale had his 2 year old Down syndrome daughter there visiting, I was bawling, and couldn't help it, thankfully it didn't affect her much. Steve was a doctor in the hospital, and Alissa was very high functioning. It went away from sheer joy.
