Not true

That Phil does all the work around here, and that I needed a Nanny. Most mornings I'm up very earlier cleaning the house, but a Target doesn't feel it's the most important thing of the day, try constant fatigue and throwing up in the mornings, try fighting for justice, producing creative works, or just reaching out to a deaf receiver, including my daughter.  When is my time spent in a worthwhile way that would ever make a difference, What,,,,,still cleaning the kitchen after the greatest tragedy to ever strike human beings?  Sure.

Sheri Grutz Sheri Grutz I've worked for the Democratic party all of my adult life, because I believe strongly that the lap of luxury is so out of touch for everyone, and the Republicans are all self serving ideologues that try to think one size fits all, even the poorest down south vote for this party, even the most impressionable will take a figure like Trump into their thinking for some kind of fight against the most vulnerable in our society. You, Tomi, taking on me and my kids, is like bringing on the death squad all for your betterment and principles. Do you know you can't live your life on principles? The moment you do, your footing slides, your mind slips, look at Trump, he can't do it.

Also on my ebooks, there's too much spacing, so I may want to save my files in 1.5 spacing instead of double spacing. I haven't even gone into my zip files, but will. They can also convert my ebooks to a paper copy if I want to do that, they just take the printing costs out of my royalties. There's also ways to promote and advertise, but I think that will cost me something to do. So far, I haven't spent one cent, unlike This Sky I Know, in which I spent over a thousand.

My second ebook is in Review, and should be available in a day or two on Kindle through Amazon. This is most of my trilogy fiction, with a few others thrown in: Making Tall Tales Real. It sells for $4.99. I saw a copy of Gun-Shy and I wish I had taken the page numbers out, but it is what it is. It's set as young adult fiction, or short stories, but good read for any audience. I'm going to keep doing this. It's really very fun, and I feel like my work is getting out there more so than my blog.

You and your kind, Rand Paul

You greatly disappoint me, Rand Paul, when you don't know the need or severity of your own constituents, and you lie about what will happen if we remove partial or all of Obamacare. You continue to spew myths surrounding it, and you haven't the heart to think of what's at stake.  I'll never vote Libertarian a day of my life. Dear Friend, It's been a busy week on Capitol Hill, as we have tried to fix the problems caused by our broken healthcare system. This week, I voted multiple times to repeal Obamacare, including offering my own clean repeal bill. Unfortunately, in the early hours of Friday morning, the Senate fell one vote short, which is disappointing. Later that morning, I shared my thoughts in an op-ed for Rare: The clean repeal, which I supported, wasn’t perfect, but it would have forced all parties to legislatively resolve the wreckage of Obamacare. The clean repeal, as every permutation of repeal, could not repeal the fundamental regulatory flaw of Ob...

What can Sheri Grutz say to Pat Robertson who says all single mothers should get married or they will go to hell....well, I don't think men are looking out for a heavenly passage for women, except maybe in bed, so maybe you can pick on your own sex, for a change. I can imagine today's feminist makes you sick to your stomach, but women in a candy store choosing their best sweetness is like asking for silk and getting flannel. Believe me, women know better.

more stupid silly jokes by Sheri

When the kid goes to the park, he says, Who's the swinger? the girl goes to the store, gets things for her mom, then says, It's not enough, and the cashier says, You're always under something. The young man takes the chemtrails out of the sky like a pro,  and he says, They can't lay claim on me. the older woman gets a wig, feels it for surface, then says, I've never been ahead for this. young boy does detention, and says, I made this stage, I act up on purpose.

My two cents on mental illness

I'm coming to find out often, like all the time, how much people view a person with schizophrenia or mental illness, or a person who takes meds, when they use it as a slam against someone else. It is really off the charts right now, and I don't think people understand what they are doing.  Comparing someone who acts strangely as having a disease is like to saying What he does on purpose or for candor is excused into a bracket of a disability, and it not only shouldn't be that easy, but it's a slam against those of us who have never asked for an illness, never done drugs, never did anything wrong.  I'm really not sure how to handle all this anymore, but I guess I'll just blog about it, and you can decide.

I ordered this for Beth today

Poem for you

Poem for you That sheet ain't gonna cover history, you know, lumps and blood stains, and snags that stick through when you try to remove it, would we even know a white sheet like surrender? I may have revealed too much, standing here a picture on a kid's milk carton with a cotton mouth and a pale look you'd bring up to a packed house for freight or making teeth work a clean break. I may have done more than what was ever my share. They pull sheets off of paintings, great art or sculpture, and the history there is the time it took. Lasting as a crocked weather vane or a horseshoe. Surely you don't think there is waiting there. All day I can't put an art more impossible than what you'd hide from even yourself, sheet tied to get out of a burning building, or sheet long as it is wide. -s.m.g.

Michelle Bachmann, when you say the Lord is working wonders in our government thanks to Trump, I thought this might be the party of Freedom From Government, Freedom of the Press, Freedom from Religion, Freedom to Raise your family of choice, Freedom to Decide your job, your health, your finances, To Secure your Land and Environment, to Take Back Hate over Dems, to Give Your Talents to help others, to Have no Dominion? I thought that's what you meant, but it's completely not true.

Joni Ernst voted Yes to repeal Obamacare

When the final tally comes down, state governor Republicans have already failed, they've taken Medicaid that does exist now into managed health care, already cutting and slashing and capping funding for the poor and disabled, so likely, you can say, Joni Ernst did nothing wrong.  You can say that voting Yes to repeal critical programs will make America Great Again because that's the mantra that got her there.  There are many state Governors who won't take Medicaid money, force scores of people suffering with illness to just go ahead and die.  And they do die.  You've got a party that works so closely with big insurance companies and big pharma that the person on the receiving end has to basically give up everything to survive, instead, give those privileged more breaks and more perks.  How do I tell my daughter with cystic fibrosis that this country has basically given her less options, higher premiums, more cost to her by dismantling this bi...

my post on another blog

What happened with Citizens United is that you've got a running pool of about 12 candidates, and each person says, This is my guy. Nobody wants to donate to somebody else after primaries or conventions. They spread the playing field too thin, then bitched that people were too indecisive.

Here are some reasons that people get addicted to a substance: women don't want to be housewives, and men don't want to get no sex. The location they are living in makes a daily job seem too low paying for the commute, or the opportunities are not th ere for them to get hired locally. The jobs they do get don't offer them creativity, leadership, free from harassment, so they quit. The child has problems at home, and no one understands.

My response

what can we do, Richard, the state's are mostly Repubs admin wanting big business, pro petroleum, but accept being owned by Mansanto, or any other Koch Brothers stepping in. They've done managed care of Medicaid, and some states refuse to take money for it, cuts are looming, and the most vulnerable disadvantaged are up against odds. We need to see if the times are now from the opposing party, or always there. For instance, 20 years ago, if a mother was on Medicaid having another baby, they said, that's it, you only get 2. What they spew is that mothers on welfare keep popping out the kids, the people on the rolls haven't worked in 10 years, we've got people who can't pass a drug screen to get a job, people who are denied SSDI because they made too much money, the cycle of poverty is not as simple as welfare to work, we have a serious disabled system that won't allow the poor to keep their money, and when they do, everything goes up in their costs, not even o...

Phil and I are going to do this, if we can't get in this Thursday, then next Thursday. I'm applying for work this Thursday in Quad Cities, then we'll cash his check, and try Channel Cat again. Gotta keep finding things that Phil wants to do.

I absolutely can't stand you

Juliette Low at her wedding had a piece of thrown rice lodge in her ear, becoming partially deaf, after a life of already having ear problems and being accident prone. Gordon Low cheated on her then had a stroke and died. Juliette met Baden Powell who was forming the Boy Scouts and together they developed the Girl Guides that become the Girl Scouts. She had incredible social connections and quickly grew it all over the country. Juliette got breast cancer but never stopped her work. I never would have been a leader for 4 years with out her story. Trump, you have taken back all of history tonight. What a shame.

I'm worried my mother's evilness is casting something over my daughter. It may have always been there, but I saw signs of it when my kids were young, and I even told my mother right to her face, You're Evil. she was refusing to help me with anything I wanted to do with my life, and today both she and my step dad deny everything, act like they were the most supportive helpful people ever. I remember coming home from a night of Girl Scouts I was running, and she was watching Alec (there were times I had to take him with) and all she was was biting negativity. My daughter is slowly turning this way too. I can't remember the last thing positive I got from her. Targeting may be the culprit.

Often when talking with veterans of our armed forces, this sentiment enters the conversation when discussing unexpected life paths after active duty – especially when it comes to their educational pursuits. Since it was first enacted in 1944, the GI Bill Department of Veterans Affairs education benefit has helped cover a significant portion of the costs associated with getting an education or training for service members, family members and eligible veterans. In any legislation being put thru that wants to cut services for my mentally retarded son, is the most cruel and inhumane country he adores, and honors with his patriotic music, his addressing the flag, his love of being an American.  He enjoys everything the CCO budget offers him on the waiver, and I remember when so many doors opened up when he was able to get on it.  The Feds, even the Libertarian I was talking with online want to do away most of the government, there would be no pride left for any of us.  Do not dare cut us out of the fabric of life to be discarded.  Don't, Joni.

A poem for my daughter

A poem for my daughter When they took the building out of the man, they left glass you could eat from, his soul, a breeze, and a spoon clinking for a toast to the century. Many people came to where it all went down, that solid building was destroyed so easily it was given a switch when the sun comes on. There was life and love and laughter in those walls, and the time had given it's final hour where something else had fallen, the hearts sunk away from the dead tongue pulling the weight. And now it's no more, imagine how you would feel when you may have designed it and cleaned it and put your mark on it, down to the ground with a thud you can hear up to the heavens. The lot goes up for sale more than an exchange of words or ideas, it will be a patch of history gone against any other storm or fallen grace. The life speeds up to take the building out of the man, like any kind of trai...

The Rise and Fall of Culture and What We Can Learn From It

I met a guy at Rozz Tox who told me he made a living off his art and he didn't feel any pressure, but I wondered those who pay for art, what he had become as an artist. Iowa is a state of many rich farmers, Illinois too, with a rugged, fishing, camping, hunting mentality, this land is your land.  Des Moines has got all the money, run by Republicans who've probably never heard a Reggae song, cutting off our universities in the arts, and making us into tools.  There used to be a reading every night at Prairie Lights, last I checked in the next two weeks, 2 readings.  Where innovation starts to lack, mastery takes over, so ideas are best kept in the 6th grade science project, and the people attending the concerts and galleries are high class, exceptional people like themselves. I've viewed kids art at Northpark Mall and the Figgee, and the first thing I thought was, it's not messy enough, clear pictures, transparent minds,  thinking of being good. ...

some more silly jokes by Sheri

The young man gets one ear pierced and his girlfriend says, Now you're a stud. The man carrying a locked briefcase comes up to a security guard who says, My lips are sealed. The house has grown legs and it races the running water. The tree will turn colors and the kids jump into piles from the tree, young girl says to neighbor boy, I bet you're too yellow.

This is how targeting works

This is how targeting works, everyone finds fault in the things you say, do, think and feel. So when you try to tell your story or reach out for help, they turn a deaf ear, then they leave you for good. A target loses jobs, friends, family, houses, cars, bank accounts, until finally the target is backed against the wall that they either become homeless, or they commit suicide. I'm one of the lucky ones because I've got Phil, and my dog. The tragedy is that the hatred and criticism starts in higher places, like all the mass media, and trickles slowly down into your personal life. A target will fight the way they are treated, but they won't win, at all. It's a life sentence.

Paul Ryan: the greatest thing corps can do is give them jobs, but the greatest thing we can do is give the corps tax cuts. Paul Ryan: the greatest thing we can do it cut everything in funding so the wealthy can get fat, after all, we're all about capitalism. Paul Ryan: we've got an agenda to keep to keep us in power, even if they might want to try at the voters box to oust us. Paul Ryan: I didn't mean to get rich, it just happened.

I guess it will knock over 30M out of health care, and probably immediately, if the Repubs repeal, and not only that, everyone else will feel the crunch. on top of that, we're going to see, have been seeing, huge cuts for Medicaid, so say they lose Obamacare and just decide to quit their job and get on the rolls, they might not get it. I think only pregnant mothers can get it. You can't do both at the same time.

How Sheri got a kid in high school scoring over the 95th percentile in reading comprehension

Schools didn't do it. We started out reading books outloud together, she was able to identify each word as I pronounced it, and get the spelling right for each word. We read it quickly even if she struggled, to get the content. We went on all her youth reading books outloud together, or just me.  We did so many together, she copied, or followed, today she,s at or more as well read as me.

Phil called the Marriott yesterday, and they told him they are letting him go. they gave him a two day suspension for calling off work when he was in a motel in Clinton, and now they have fired him. I'm so upset how many people give Phil the runaround, calling him and saying We're starting work soon, then never following thru, pays dues to the union hall and never getting a call. I'll see what I can do on my end.

Check out my daughter shirt: Spread the Word to End the Word.

The first thing I had to do

Was convince all of my parents that poor people are good parents too, so ingrained in their psyche that they couldn't get it. the second thing I had to do was tell them you don't stand for injustice, though they've never written one letter or one phone call. The third thing I had to do was tell them that women are no different than men, they have SEX!  Imagine that! The fourth thing I had to do was succeed with a disability, be a published poet, volunteer, and run races, still they want perfection even when it's not there. I had to fight against all the odds to be a homeowner, to be a single mother with a purpose, to be an activist and fighter all my life, with no help from anyone. I'm not taking shit from you that says everyone is disability is a lazy taker. Even on it, I've paid into it, no fault of my own that I should lose jobs. Get On My Side for once in your life.

about my emails suggesting Ronnie get on disability

I got home at  9:00 PM  last night & am just getting caught up this AM about Ronnie.  I think you are right about not being able to get disability. From what I've heard it is much harder to get it now. Jason has been turned  down numerous times. Robert is still not on it even with help of social  worker at IA City. Ronnie is a very hard worker but as you know the drinking binge lasts  three days. Obviously he has lost every job because of it. Idk what else we can do for him.

read it, and shared.

I am a wife of one of the fallen Marines on July 10. I am writing to you, because, I hope you can help me. As you being such a military advocate I hope you can understand my frustrations. A. My husband and his "brothers" deserve MORE than a tweet!!! I don't know how to get through to tell this president and congress how insulted I am for that? He could have had a press conference, a written statement. Anything BUT a tweet?? I want someone to tell this president and country how my heart aches that he is so disrespectful. My husband is worth more than a tweet. B. Their ranks. I have sent some news stations the correct ranks so they can change them when they are printed wrong. No reply, nothing. Here is a list of their names and proper ranks. I want other news stations that put out wrong rank information, to understand that not getting this right, is ignorant. They EARN rank! Trump has pen in hand and wants to sign something

I would have him sign the speed limit on all interstates to go back down to 65 mph, and all people driving in downtown cities have to yield to every single pedestrian in a crosswalk, and I would have him sign that any political group or religious group cannot break up, interfere or otherwise reek havoc on another group attended for their own purposes

The lasting thing that may have happened with Obamacare, and Beth is seeing it, is that private insurance can't deny you coverage with a pre existing condition. Make it mandatory that Every Single Employer offers health insurance. I've known people who only work the low paying job, just for benefits they earned from their years there. And it wasn't cheap, over 500 a month for her and her husband, and that's just premiums.

We have no proof that diet and exercise prevents cancer, in fact, you can be too healthy, and get it. But this is Brit Hume on Fox news, saying the least of all takers deserves the most coverage, perks and ownership of the land.

During a discussion on the GOP’s healthcare plan designed to replace Obamacare, longtime Fox contributor Brit Hume criticized compelling insurers to cover people with pre-existing conditions, reports Media Matters. Speaking with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace and Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, Hume called coverage of those with pre-existing conditions not a “triumph,” but problematic, like insuring a driver who has a car wreck in their past. “The triumph of Obamacare is this coverage for pre-existing conditions, which basically defeats the whole idea of insurance,” Hume suggested. “Which is, for example, in the  automobile insurance  market, if you could wait until you had a wreck and then  buy insurance  and have the repairs covered, that’s comparable to what we’re doing here.” He continued, “What people tend to miss when it comes to this whole story about the wrongful glorification of Obamacare is the fact that it hurts the country in more ways t...
