The Brain

by Sheri Grutz

You went about wiring my brain but you didn't know it

you were just doing a job You were about on my third floor

when you made the right connection ceiling wide open when

I had given up walls there was going to be power one day

to your power and I'd make the red eye in old photos hold

like a remote satellite swimming in the darkest part

splising each color we absorbed with sieved stars

hardly you even knew that my brain could be pulled

along and down and all around to generate the working body

with your working body and our sex was there

in that steady process the wiring you made simple

I'm more rational today

just a combination of many things, social media, no free speech, after all the time I've spent, Phil's diagnosis, my fight for justice inching on 30 years of fighting, and seeing no light at the end of tunnel, thinking I'm doing it all myself, and can't get a simple reply of encouragement. plus I do everything to access, and getting burnt out so often, they made fun of me about that too, when so many people are like me.  you think you got me figured out, think again! I've decided to stay on my blog, and keep Messenger, and the internet, but no social media posts anymore, but I haven't deleted any account.
