The Brain
by Sheri Grutz
You went about wiring my brain but you
didn't know it
you were just doing a job You were
about on my third floor
when you made the right connection
ceiling wide open when
I had given up walls there was going to
be power one day
to your power and I'd make the red eye
in old photos hold
like a remote satellite swimming in the
darkest part
splising each color we absorbed with
sieved stars
hardly you even knew that my brain
could be pulled
along and down and all around to
generate the working body
with your working body and our sex was
there
in that steady process the wiring you
made simple
