why do we want to open up the avenues for foreign business in our country, while we impose sanctions on many, and won't do NAFTA because we're bearing the brunt of it, and how much do we care that a foreign nationalist wants a job in the U.S. as easy as International Tradesmen that send American citizens all over Central and South America or other places to work without any needed paperwork, visa, or passport. I really feel our policies are not consistent.

The Gray Cat (today's poem)

The Gray Cat by Sheri The gray cat moves through the parking lot elongated a white ship over white caps over curbs and bumps even the moon sits on velvet and the sun comes as a half drunken sailor who saw no bed the gray cat makes sounds of screeching brakes down through the neighborhood on bald paws a white ship is rising and falling in my left eye wood on the deck and being robbed by the eye in the sky it is not something I'd put a plank in or picture the lines to be a flag the gray cat has been out for months leaving a pity against the dawn of too little we wake and find

Take a look at what it requires to become a U.S. citizen:

In most cases, someone must “sponsor” you, or file an immigrant petition for you. Once the petition is approved, and there is a visa available in your category, you apply for either a Green Card or an immigrant visa. You get a medical examination. You go to an interview. You receive a decision on your application. Top Types of Immigrant Visas Most people who come to the U.S. using an immigrant visa receive one of the following types: Family-based visa , which is based on a family relationship with a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Employment-based visa , which generally requires a job offer from a U.S. employer. Review the  step-by-step process for getting a family- or employment-based visa . Another popular way to seek an immigrant visa is through the  Diversity Visa Lottery program . This program allows foreign citizens from countries with low immigration rates to the United States to participate in an annual, random drawing for an immigra...

Many are coming forward, saying the Tax Reform Bill will do very little for the economy, and that the only people receiving bonuses or increase in pay is around 2% of the population, that it's disingenuous to think the upper end of the echelon is going to find a way to get their big breaks down to the laborers, teachers, or nurses, but we will be hearing from them when they start filing their taxes right now. All that big business is going to do is reward their shareholders. And by the way, Ronald Reagan was not a good president, he borrowed from and destroyed social security, and put our country into so much debt, we'll never recover.

The Rules for the Bruce Springsteen Fan Club (a creative essay)

The Rules for the Bruce Springsteen Fan Club by Sheri Grutz The following rules are in particular order, and have been put in place to avoid mayhem. If you find the rules hard to live by, maybe consider joining a different Fan Club. You must own 3 forms of compilations of songs by Bruce Springsteen, one vinyl, one cassette, and one CD, but they do not need to be in mint condition. It helps if there are bugs in your house, or if you're a person who plays these songs over and over. You must have ticket stubs from 3 concerts framed in glass. It helps if you have several thousand people walking through your living room. You must refer to Bruce, as “Doctor” and it helps if you are having your brain read while you're reading his bio. You must have visited Asbury Park at least one time in your life, and it helps if you're being stalked so you can bring attention to the area. You must be raised Catholic, or still attend, and it helps if you...

My son. Out having fun.

It took me some time to find out that I am Suspect Target of the United States government, but I did know I was being watched and found that out between the years 1993-94. Over the course of all of these years, it has included “friendly gang stalking”, thought broadcasting, forced speech, vertigo to the point of syncope, automatic thoughts, racing heart, extremely low pulse, pain and pleasure reward and punish system to the head, trauma that caused voices, 3 lamps in the house have started on fire, pops and clicks coming from the walls in my house, laser burns to the tips of my ears, being heated up (extremely red face), bathing in painful attacks from the computer and cell phone, vibrating and pulsating tailbone (electric), electronic burns to my leg, direct energy gas that I can smell and taste, all of these things and more are happening to average citizens like me.

No one should be made to feel inferior for their mental illness, it is not something that the person asks for or is to blame for. you get into groups like NAMI, and they tell you to tell your story, inform others, break the stigma, but then you get certain people that come along and cripple your strides. When you start to allow a fraction within, it becomes a constant source of refusal to accept a person for who they are. It's a sad day, that turning away.

Dear Joni

Thank you for contacting me over prolife issues. I was encouraged after my daughter no longer needed Obamacare, got married, and is now covered under her husband's Blue Cross insurance, that it does not cover abortion.  My daughter, having cystic fibrosis may never get pregnant, but it's nice to know they'll work with her on having children and not the other way around. A woman in her 20's clearly doesn't know what's at stake, it's lifeblood we're talking about. My other concern is the Down syndrome fetus, parenting thinking they need to have a kid who's the smartest in the class, spoiling them, and creating some kind of perfect life.  Clearly that helps no one. So, thank you for your work on this issue.

I guess I was mistaken, the job offer is for custodial work @Davenport John Deere Works. It pays 10 dollars an hour, so I can work 25 hours a week and still keep my Medicaid. I've virtually got the job, so my total disposable income will be around 2K a month. Phil is having problems getting his unemployment insurance going, so for now, I'll be taking care of both of us. Can't wait to get into something consistent again.

here's the outline of how my young adult novella is going to end

the free meal God letters (from camp counselors, Zach, Marty) the park lost the search found charges the inspector classes lost souls he ain't heavy spring flood the bike ride (back through the park) the kit (I'm going to be a naturalist, and if anybody gets lost in the park, I'm going to track them down with this infrared light, I'm showing mom, too when she gets home tonight, and we'll never lost A.J. Again, we can go back to the park now, we can do anything) the end.

Denim (in the Fabrics series)

Denim by Sheri Says I'm easy to fit in when the groupspeak turns in a snap or a button to the tight hip crowd writing words or paint on your jeans the pockets are folders for folded paper and these that fade will be good memories when there was a designer we wore with a passion

Tax Breaks

from how I understand it, the bonuses are happening for the new hires, the ones who are in most need of reaping a little benefit as getting started, and the incentive is one that they hope to return in longevity and buying from within. Many others are just rewarding their investors and shareholders, but the consumer demand will help some of these places to improve their overall image.

Guns

If Republicans really believed that Blue Lives Matter, they would pass comprehensive gun control laws, but they don't because their base is set on an outdated amendment that gives power to an individual to take lives. The laws are completely biased since a black man cannot conceal carry a weapon, even be thought to have a gun, without being taken down, or accused of a premeditated crime against humanity. Just the thought that my beautiful cousin Molly would be married to a man who owned a handgun, knowing that she suffered terribly with depression, makes my blood boil. She ended up killing him, and then herself, in a murder-suicide. Every year we do the walk for suicide prevention, but where is the gun reform? For these reasons, I stand with Democrats in wanting there to be something done to prevent untimely deaths through guns, and make us a more determined female race of protecting ourselves through taser, mace, and self defense. That's what they taught us in high s...

The truth is all these business are consolidating their money into their investors and shareholders, and rewarding the people who already have money. The truth is the Republicans held DACA hostage, and shut down the government over it instead of offering what they knew to be right. The truth is the whole system is bias, since a black man can't conceal carry a gun, and the amendment is only there for the good ol' boys to shoot shot glasses off a fence while claiming to be protecting his property from intruders.

Ah huh, Joni

Good evening – This year is off to a busy start and I have already heard from many Iowans about what they would like to see accomplished in 2018. Whether you touch base by  phone ,  e-mail ,  letter , or on my  99 county tour of the state , I take your thoughts and concerns to heart. I will continue to work to bring Iowans’ values to Washington and translate your commonsense solutions into action. Every week, I hear from folks all across the state, so each month, I try to share some of the frequent questions I've received from Iowans. Continue reading below to see more. Recent Frequently Asked Questions How is the new tax reform law benefiting Iowans ? The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act,  signed into law in December , will provide, on average, every income group with tax relief. Our middle- and low-income Iowans will see lower tax rates, the child tax credit will be doubled, and folks will no longer be forced to bear the...

Cotton (a poem in the Fabrics series)

Cotton by Sheri The squirrel digs deep in the cushion stealing the comfort of summer clouds for a better bed these humans leave out pulling with those razor teeth and claws his find is luck when everything is open the air itself turned soft this week and not as hard as a frozen face of the moon the squirrel knows it won't last but he might not last too and there's work to be done

the way I understand it by barely listening to our governor is that each state has a different way of taxing, so I think that people are still going to get taxed unless you change that too, and may actually do nothing on property taxes, may actually increase it if you lower the standard deduction. But when you think about taxes, what are talking about, you're about Head Start, WIC, counseling, any program that after this major tax cuts is going to be on the chopping block. Corporate America wealth and gains does not need to be rewarded, nor does Wallstreet,, or any drug or insurance company that already have monopoly on the market. very sad day indeed. (there. I did it all by myself)

I need to hear from a strong Democrat to respond to this.

Dear Ms. Grutz, Thank you for taking the time to contact me about tax reform. It is important for me to hear from folks in Iowa on policy matters such as this.  On December 22, President Trump signed into law H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the first comprehensive tax reform in over 30 years. The law will provide significant tax relief for low- and middle-income families by doubling the standard deduction and child tax credit and lowering rates across the board. For a family of four earning the median income of $73,000, it will reduce taxes by $2,058. A single parent with one child who earns $41,000 would see a $1,300 tax cut. It also makes significant changes to the taxation of businesses in order to make the United States more competitive with other developed countries and stimulate wage growth for middle-class workers. It would lower business tax rates for job creators of all sizes, impose a one-time tax on assets that businesses hold overseas, ...

Liberal media of a woman under surveillance claims their power to observe is greater than any laws on the books, claims that their judgment is final, and that they stand for it where a legal team to help can't. The media is at one time the greatest adversary, and at one time, the greatest proof to any victim of international crime. they will, and have, and continue to make statements on what they are technically not given to see, not even legal, and without a basis for further claim. It takes disability groups to say nothing is done here wrong, because the liberal media is so determined in their outcast, they won't see anything in the range of what is a given.

my god..

you notice, Phil, they have shut up about one thing:  not working, and not making money. That was how the whole animosity started, especially from a guy who's seen plenty of lay offs. But now it's on me, doing nothing here in Des Moines.  The government doesn't require me to work a paid job.  I'm an activist, and writer, and I try to keep up on this apartment, despite the whole lack of justice. And just on that topic, how out of touch is it to say, Just go to the police.  The federal targeting program has put a gag order on anyone local that seem to portray authority.  How terrible is it, that the hatred and animosity, and judgment and condemnation comes from within the family, on just about anything, when it's the town, the state, the country, the government, the military, etc....

The State of Iowa laws on gang stalking, my email to Tom Miller

Dear Tom Miller: I do share with others, if anyone wants to do this to me, here in Iowa, we will get them.  I hope the laws have teeth, and not just lip service. I wish that this state would include making it illegal to use federal targeting programs to watch, listen, read and intercept lives in their area or community. Go beyond that, and outlaw Space Weapons of all kinds on Iowa citizens, and if suspected, a place to go to for help.  Sovereign states. Several other states have laws, but the law says, the victim should go through the criminal investigation unit in their state, something that offers no avenue for assistance. I'm on--going electronic torture abuse everywhere I go. It was promising to see we have the gang stalking laws, but it could be much larger issues at stake. I do not suspect gang stalking, since everything is remote, the bigger threat is rumor, and the way I'm treated. Just writing to say, thanks, but we n...

Justice is....

Justice is harnessing someone else's power to carry you on your mission. It is counting on someone who has succeeded to get you where you want to be. Justice is staying strong, but taking the lead of others.

my mother says, you're right, there's no reason for you to be in DeWitt anymore, once you have your dog. Pretty taken my son for good. I write a lot about having a glass house, but it's still my house, bitch, and I've got a roof over my head, despite many targets who have lost everything. You make me absolutely sick, your on going criticism over everyone in this family, minus Alec and Beth, the ones who weren't raised that way.

Lunch: half to quarter bag spaghetti noodles, sweet peas, run over cold water, one small package lemon pepper ready to eat tuna, one small package of sweet and spicy ready to eat tuna, one small container of key lime yogurt, one small container of coconut yogurt. Stir well. Delicious.

The Young Robin Hood (a short story)

The Young Robin Hood by Sheri Grutz In the year 18__, the law was set in Tinsel Town that gifts to the king would good enough to gain land and several protections against theives. Robin Hood's father was head chef in the palace, having learned everything he knew from kitchens at the depot, feeding soldiers, passengers, personnel. These were the people with money, so it became natural, that he would end up feeding the King and his court, with a great reputation for merry making along the way. “But my Lord, you must try the stuffed peppers made with blood sausage and brown grains, it comes exclusively from my garden.” “I pay you enough to make me oyster stew! You will not get paid for this.” “The merchants are catching ill, there is no working populace on the sea.” “Ahhh, then our naval fleet will have to do it, certainly you've rubbed shoulders with them.” “But so many poor are coming in, they are now patroling every coast line. Even fishe...

This day goes down in my personal history, as the first day I experienced electronic torture. I took a personal day from work, and was fighting tooth to nail for justice, when Ken Adachi asked me, Are you experiencing electronic torture? It was within 15 minutes that it started, bathing me in electromagnetics from my computer screen, and lasting everywhere I went for up to two weeks. It was on MLK day in 2004, and continuing ever since.

Violin (musical instrument series poem)

Violin There is emotion on that wire pulling the crisp hold of winter into a rubbed up fire I went burning through days set against a thin sky a thin chin of hers was now unknowing her knowing the sound of a racing mind looseness up and down the brakes on a train and stopping for the pitch in that darkness s.m.g.

Creative Power

for the newcomers, glad you asked, truly it means a lot to me: Well, the term has been expanded to include those who experience gang stalking, but basically its a gov program placing the victim under 24 hour satellite surveillance that has the capability of direct energy attacks to the head and body, beyond sinister, since it is a pleasure/torture program meant to punish and reward behavior and thoughts similar to Pavlov's dog, all creepy researchers and scientists on mind control, combined with military/corporate/industrial complex.

When I called into the Jimmy Carter Foundation, they called me the media. I am synonymous. They wouldn't let me talk to anybody there. I kept calling back and fighting, for a couple of hours, then gave up. Bill Clinton Foundation does not answer a call or an email or a letter from me. All George Bush has is a library, no way to contact them. What's in store for Obama Foundation, more nothingness and bullshit.

Joni,I just wonder though if this is keeping up cost of living or is it from tax reform. There aren't too many jobs that even use the minimum wage of $7.25 anymore, because turnover is so high. I also think these companies you mentioned are in the upscale and their wealth has already been accumulating at high rates, so really they haven't anything extremely kind and the tax reform may sustain this great divide between rich and poor.

This is what a guy named Jamie said on Facebook over a person claiming voice to skull

Hi, love you. Rebuke those voice in the name of Yahusha (Jesus). They are underneath your feet. He Who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. All things have been placed under the feet of Yahusha (Jesus). Repent and accept Yahusha if you have not and then find some water and baptize one another. You are precious. Love you.

My response to Chuck Grassley

Thank you for your response. If you have been following the story in the news, it is believed to have been 'sonic weapons attacks' that these diplomats experienced.  This could be a watershed moment, knowing that someone close to the situation brought such forward, and was believed. Many Suspect Targets in the U.S. considered this proof that such weapons exist, deployment is going on, and that injury does occur and needs to be addressed. You're right, we don't know where it's coming from, but rest assured, I've been hit with similar and more to my body.  Many people have asked me, Why you?  Why you, when the diplomats get it?  Recently I have found out that RH negative blood has a history, but also, I think that it is done to punish, so there must have something I did wrong. I wrote to you again today, and would like to hear from you again on surveillance issues, as that is a major part of how they hone in to people under attack. thanks. Sheri

what we know, don't know, and ask. Surveillance from the head is happening for national security reasons being falsely put on lists to ruin lives and control minds with pleasure/torture mechanisms. It could be coming through generated computer interface, or there could actual people besides the fucking media who are watching and pulling punches. It could be, the people doing this are ALSO under surveillance, so that the country is watching the watchers, watching those watching media who are watching the target or possible the watchers, then reporting as if it's all news to them.

An Interview with Albert Einstein (a creative essay)

An Interview with Albert Einstein by Sheri Grutz Mr. Einstein, you have lived and traveled all over the world, why did you decide to become a resident of the United States? War. Europe was divided. But you must remember there were not too many Jews in colleges in America when I was lecturing and teaching, all the while I did my part to save over a thousand Jewish scientists souls in Germany, I did feel like an outsider here, but felt the Americans were the most cheerful and positive force to make my stay. Talk about your faith for a moment. You've said you consider yourself an agnostic, is that still true? I was wrong about that. One of the few times you've been wrong? I've been wrong many times. I've nearly failed out of colleges on many occasions in certain subjects. I've been on panels with philosophers who have put me to shame. What is the greatest award you ever received? Too many to name. But at one point, you must un...
